Order of the day

Note – Event 1 is at the High School.  Events 2-5 are all at the gym.

7 am -7.30 am – Hillcrest High School, 40 Ridge Road, Hillcrest.

Registration for the first event will take place.  ALL teams need to be registered by 7.30 am. 
One team member needs to make themselves known to the registration official and confirm attendance along with confirmation of team members.  Once the team has been registered no other person can replace a team member for the day.

7.30 am – 7.45 am

Event 1 briefing.  Movement standards and judging responsibilities announced at this time.

9.15 am-9.25 am – CrossFit DBN, Unit 2 Fischer Park, Blessing Ninela Road, Hillcrest

Event 2 briefing.  Movement standards and judging responsibilities announced at this time.

9.30 am – 11.30 am

Event 2 heats.  First heat starts at 9.30 am and will run at 20 minute intervals. 

11.30 am  – 11.40 am

Event 3 briefing.  Movement standards and judging responsibilities announced at this time.

11.45 am – 1 pm

Event 3 heats.  First heat starts at 11.45 am and will run at 15 minute intervals

1 pm – 1.10 pm  

Event 4 briefing.  Movement standards and judging responsibilities announced at this time.

1.15 pm – 2.55pm

Event 4 heats.  First heat starts at 1.15 pm and will run at 20 minute intervals

2.55 pm – 3.05 pm

Event 5 briefing.  Movement standards and judging responsibilities announced at this time.

3.05 pm – 4.45 pm

Event 4 heats.  First heat starts at 1.15 pm and will run at 20 minute intervals

5 pm – 5.30 pm

End of the day.  Quick beer, get stuff together and head off to get ready for the prize giving, fines court and after party at the Keg and Trout, Hillcrest.

6.30 pm – 7 pm

Arrive at Keg and Trout and congregate in the designated area of awesomeness. 

7 pm – 7.30 pm

Prize giving, fine court and down down punishments.

7.30 pm – who knows?  pm/am?

Partaaaaaaaaaay!  Have a few beers, some food and hang out with the community. 

Music will be at the Keg in the evening.






The UWS Games will take place on Saturday 29th October.  The day will start early and finish late afternoon.


Times will be released closer to the time but travel and accommodation arrangements can now be made.


The events will take place in and around Durban and finer details will be released to teams closer to the time.


Finer Details
  • Teams will be made up of 4 with 2 men and 2 women
  • Affiliates can enter as many teams as possible
  • You do not need to be a CrossFitter or belong to a CrossFit gym to enter
  • Registration of teams closes on Friday 23rd September at 8pm
  • Each team registering needs a main contact and upon registration we will require name of team, names of the members of the team, associated gym and contact email.

To register you need to:
  • Pay the team entry fee of R500 to Integrated Fitness, Standard Bank, Florida Road Branch, Account Number 251115526, Branch Code  042726.  Please put team name and uwsgames as reference when submitting entry fees so we know who you are.
  • Email us at andy@integratedfitness.co.za with the name of your team, the names of the members, the main team contact, associated gym and contact email address
  • You will need to allocate 2 team members that may be used as judges for the day.  We may need them all we may not.  Please let us know this at time of registration.
Team selection

We cannot police how you choose your teams!  CrossFit DBN will be choosing its teams by picking out of a hat.  We will be picking 1 firebreather as initial team contact with the rest of the team being picked from  a hat.  We feel this is the most fair way to do it for the members so as to not leave anyone out and have a situation where the less advanced members are left in a team with little or no experience.  No one wants to be THAT kid that gets picked last for the soccer teams!

On the day of competition, once the team has been registered and names given, they may not be changed.  If a member has to withdraw then the team may continue with the remaining members.
